Western and English Instructors:
All LVRA instructors all have great knowledge of horses. They also enjoy people. We not only teach you how to ride, but horsemanship,you should know how a horse thinks, safety, about your equipment and so on.
Kathryn Davis - owner of LVRA, Kathryn has been riding most of her life and has broke and trained horses. She has worked for both Western and English Trainers in California through her teens. Showed Gymkhana, Halter horses, Western Pleasure. Kathryn has owned LVRA since 2004 her mission is to introduce Horses to adults and kids. Horses have always been a great source of joy and therapy. Kathryn is retired now, but does run LVRA, and does lessons if needed.
Alisa Everson - Has been taking riding lessons since she could walk, and started with Kathryn when she was 12 years old. Has Shown Western Pleasure, Showmanship, has jumped and done Gymkhana. Alisa is now 23 years old and has taken over for Kathryn. Alisa enjoys sharing her passion for horses with kids and adults.
Jen Yoas - Started riding when she was 8yrs old. At 12 yrs old she started competing in the Hunter and Equitation classes at local and rated shows on the east coast. Jenn taught lessons and summer camps at a large well known show barn while attending Delaware Valley University. In 2002 she graduated with a BS in animal science specializing in equine business, she was also required to take the BSH (British Horse Society) test before graduating. After graduating she competitively showed horses at a professional level. In 2004 Jenn moved to Las Vegas to pursue other endeavors, but found her passion for horses could never be just a hobby. She thoroughly enjoys teaching and sharing the passion to learn and love horses with others of any age . Jenn loves being involved in the horse show community.
Liz McCarthy - Started riding and taking lessons at age 8, and participated in 4-H through Middle School and High School. She also became active in Oregon High School Equestrian Team, and started competing on the Arabian Breed circuit. Liz went to Oregon State University where she received a BS in Animal Science with specialization in equine. She worked for an Arabian Performance trainer, and then became working student for Hunter/Jumper barn. After graduating, worked for a Dressage trainer in Portland Oregon area. Liz moved to Las Vegas 2013, Liz has a passion for teaching a correct foundation and effective skills, and loves seeing progress in both horse and rider.
Lisa Agnello- Lisa has been training with Kathryn and the other trainers for about 3 years now. She has been helping with lessons and the horses, she is now starting to do lessons for the beginners. Lisa also has a great passion in sharing her love for horses.
